Hi, I'm Megan Morales.

I'm a children’s author of picture books ranging from quiet and lyrical to laugh-out-loud funny. 

Across all styles, I write character-driven stories about the real, everyday experiences of growing up—exploring themes of emotional regulation, sensory play, confidence-building, and multi-generational bonds. 

One of my favorite parts about being an author is connecting directly with children. I enjoy visiting schools, libraries, and book festivals to engage with my readers. I'm also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) SoCal region. 

Living in Southern California is a busy adventure. My husband, two children, two dogs, and a horse provide endless inspiration for my stories—at times a little too much!
